
Today’s smoothie recipe is a basic green smoothie recipe – dairy free and chock-full of fruits and vegetables! Apple, banana, orange, leafy greens, avocado, flaxseed meal and water whip together to make a smooth, creamy, sweet, and healthy meal or snack.
Add ins like protein powder or nuts/nut butters may be used as well, but aren’t necessary. If you are new to green smoothies this is a great ratio of fruit veggies and I feel is a winner. Try it out and let me know what you think! Enjoy smoothie time! *sip*

Ingredients:
1 c cold water (or a 1/4-1/2 cup more if you want it thinner)
2 big handfuls greens (spinach, kale, romaine, a mix, etc.)
1 apple, quartered
1/4-1/2 banana, frozen
1 cutie orange
1/4 avocado
5-6 ice cubes if you want it cold
1 Tablespoon flaxseed meal, optional
Directions:
1. Blend greens and water for 30 seconds or until mostly smooth.
2. Turn off blender and add everything else.
3. Blend on high until a smooth and creamy consistency.
