
Sometimes the thought of making breakfast is a little overwhelming. Thankfully, this simple recipe is quick and easy. Inspired by the McDonald’s McGriddle, this yummy breakfast recipe can be stored in Tupperware to enjoy through the week or frozen to reheat in microwave for a simple breakfast when you’re on the go!
Makes 24 Muffins
Ingredients
- 2 cups Hungry Jacks Pancake Mix
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 1 pound ground sausage
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup (for meat)
- 2 tablespoons seasoning salt
Directions
- Cook ground sausage in skillet on medium/high heat. Add chili powder, salt, and maple syrup and stir until brown.
- In separate mixing bowl, whisk pancake mix and water until combined.
- Drain oil from sausage and add the meat into the batter.
- Add maple syrup and cheese to the batter, and stir.
- Pour batter into greased muffin tins about 3/4 of the way full.
- Bake for 20 minutes at 400 degrees.
- Remove from the oven and let cool. Then pop out of molds and enjoy!
